Founders
Advertiser Perceptions, Inc. was founded in April 2001 by Ken Pearl and Randy Cohen based on an observation that the media executives that understand advertisers best, generally tend to sell more advertising. Pearl and Cohen today lead Advertiser Perceptions, Inc., a successful media intelligence firm providing media company executives with research-based insight about what advertisers think and guidance for increasing advertising sales, market share and competitive advantage. Best known for conducting the largest syndicated advertiser opinion study in the world, the Advertiser Intelligence Report (AIR) is currently in its tenth wave and is subscribed to by nearly every major media company in the U.S. Ken Pearl, Chief Executive OfficerPrior to Advertiser Perceptions, Pearl published magazines and websites at the original Ziff Davis and CMP Media companies where he was the founding Publisher of two technology magazines and had the unique opportunity to work with industry leaders like Dell Computer and Microsoft in their start-up and early business phases. A graduate of the University of Arizona, Pearl began his career in 1980 selling computers with IBM. Pearl resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife, and their son and daughter. Randy Cohen, President and Chief Operating Officer Randy's research and marketing experience spans nearly twenty years, holding management positions in advertising and magazine publishing. Early in his career he was responsible for strategic planning and consumer advertising research at Grey Advertising. During his ten years at Ziff Davis, Randy was well known for successfully directing research and marketing for the company's consumer and business publications. In addition, he headed-up research, marketing and operations for Red Herring Communications (VP Marketing), On2 Technology (COO) and Mobilocity (EVP Marketing). |
